The first brochure printed to promote Spanish lessons based on Condorito included the first seven cartoons listed under INDEX. This was before the internet, so ads in Hispania (the Spanish teachers professional journal) were the only means of advertizing aside from snail mail. Fortunately, a reporter for UPI (United Press International) became aware of the materials and wrote a report which appeared in many newspapers throughout the world. (A clippings service provided clippings from countries as diverse as China, Yugoslavia, Egypt, England, Mexico, Peru, Canada, Australia, etc., etc.) So encouraging was the number of inquiries received that a second brochure, "Pepo presenta a Condorito en nuevas ediciones para estudiantes de español" was prepared, accompanied by a cassette with several sample recordings. Together, these two brochures and the cassette provided samples of just about all the various types of reading and aural/oral exercises contained in the Condorito No. 15 package.
Inasmuch as many fans of Condorito and of this approach to foreign language learning would prefer to have these materials in the form of printed brochures and a CD, they can now be offered at the cost of printing, duplicating, shipping and handling.
